DOUGLAS HAISLIP (trumpet), co-founder of SOLID BRASS, has performed with the major International Ballet Companies at Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Little Orchestra Society, New York Pops, and Colonial Symphony orchestras, and freelances in the New York Metropolitan area.   He has subbed on Broadway in Gypsy, Annie Get Your Gun, and the Grinch That Stole Christmas and performs at the Papermill Theater.

CHRIS JAUDES (trumpet) has Broadway credits that include playing lead trumpet on Hair, The Grinch, Gypsy, Flower Drum Song, Sunset Boulevard, Ragtime, On the Town, and Annie Get Your Gun.  He has also performed with the NY Philharmonic and Saint Louis Symphony. He served as the trumpet instructor at Long Island University and the Juilliard School of Music.

JEFF HOLMES (trumpet) is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music.  He is professor of music and Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  Jeff is a nationally recognized composer and arranger, jazz educator, and performer.

CHARLES BUMCROT (trumpet) has appeared as soloist and guest artist with the New England Chamber Symphony.  He performs with numerous New York orchestras including   the Little Orchestra Society and the New York Choral Society.  Chuck has subbed on numerous Broadway shows and with the Papermill Theater.  He teaches trumpet at Kean University and Montclair State University.                                                         

THERESA MACDONNELL (horn) is a graduate of the Julliard School of Music. Theresa's credits include playing first horn on Broadway in Spamalot, 42nd Street, Titanic, On the Town, Jesus Christ Superstar and Sunset Blvd.  She has performed with the New York Philharmonic, NJ Symphony and other orchestras in the metropolitan area. Theresa has recorded for commercials, CDs and movies.

CARL DELLA PERUTI (trombone) is co-founder of SOLID BRASS. He is a graduate of Ithaca College and The Cleveland Institute of Music, and studied at the Eastman School.  He has been awarded a NJ State Arts Council Fellowship in composition.  He has performed in various festivals and presently is a member of the Colonial Symphony.  Carl has been the trombone instructor at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.

BRUCE EIDEM (trombone) is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music. Bruce is principal trombone in Shrek, and was in Gypsy and in the Gershwin revival on Broadway, "Crazy for You", and of the Broadway hit "Big".   He performed in “Christmas Carol” yearly.  Bruce is an expert in both classical and jazz idioms.

HANS MUHLER (trombone) is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. Hans worked as a brass instrument designer for Yamaha Corporation and has developed his own instrument design and repair business. He frequently appears with many freelance orchestras throughout the metropolitan area.

DON HAYWARD (trombone, bass trombone and tuba) is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music and is instructor of trombone at Columbia University. He has performed and recorded with John Cage, Pauline Oliveros, and Peter Kotik. Don frequently plays on Broadway and was an Grammy Award nominee for Mario Bauza's recording "994 Columbus".

KYLE TURNER (tuba) attended the Manhattan School of Music. He is an active freelance musician performing with such ensembles as the Orchestra of St. Luke's and the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra.  He served as interim principal tuba of the New York Philharmonic for two seasons and teaches tuba at Montclair State University.

ADRIENNE OSTRANDER (percussion) is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Music.  She has performed in festivals in Germany, Italy, Greece and Yugoslavia.  Adrienne is currently the timpanist with the Princeton Symphony and performs with numerous ensembles in New York and New Jersey.  Adrienne performs over 100 educational concerts during the school year and writes percussion ensemble literature for these programs.

JANET LANTZ (horn) Originally from Florida, Janet Lantz came to New York as a scholarship student of James Chambers at the Juilliard School.  After receiving her Bachelors and Masters degrees Janet remained in New York to freelance. She is a member of  the Westfield and Colonial Symphonies of New Jersey,  New York Chamber Soloists and  often performs with the Long Island  Philharmonic, American Ballet Theater, and the New Jersey Symphony .  Janet has played for over 60  shows on Broadway, most recently at Phantom of the Opera, South Pacific and The Lion King.  She has performed with Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and the Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra. Ms. Lantz also performs on the natural horn with various Early Music ensembles.  

JOHANNES PFANNKUCH (trombone) Johannes earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Trombone Performance at Manhattan School of Music, and an Artist's Diploma in Jazz Studies at the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College. He freelances in the NYC area, performing in Broadway shows, several tri-state area orchestras, such as the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the Allentown Symphony Orchestra and Stamford Symphony, and chamber groups, such as Hora Decima Brass and Solid Brass.

JONATHAN FOWLER (tuba) has been active throughout the New York/Philadelphia area for the last six years.  Aside from being the principal tuba player with the Haddonfield Symphony Orchestra, Dr. Fowler has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of St. Luke's, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Reading Symphony Orchestra and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra.  Jonathan has received degrees from Rutgers University, Temple University and University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music.  He is currently the Instructor of Low Brass at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
